FAP, April 16 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- A US train derailed in Rockwood, Maine, on April 15, local time, and the dangerous goods carried on the train did not pose a threat to public safety. According to the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway Company (Canadian Pacific Kansas City), after the train derailed, three of the carriages carrying timber caught fire, while those carrying dangerous materials were not affected, so there was no threat to public safety. A spokesman for the company said the derailment occurred at around 08:30 local time because Rain Water washed away the roadbed under the tracks.
