According to the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK), at about 14:25 local time on the 15th, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida departed from Kansai Airport to fly to Haneda Airport. At about 16:40 on the same day, Fumio Kishida appeared in front of the Xinpu'an Station in Chiba Prefecture in the Kanto area to participate in the House of Representatives by-election campaign. At about 11:30 local time on the 15th, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was preparing to give a speech after inspecting a fishing port in Wakayama Prefecture and Wakayama City when an explosion was suddenly heard at the scene. Fumio Kishida was evacuated from the scene and was not injured. Japanese police arrested a man at the scene on suspicion of obstructing official business.
