[Ministry of Finance and other departments issued tax exemption policy for import exhibits to support the success of the 2023 China Import and Export Commodities Fair]. With the approval of the State Council, the Ministry of Finance, together with the General Administration of Customs and the State Administration of Taxation, issued the Circular on tax preferential policies for Import exhibits sold during the 2023 China Import and Export Commodities Fair. It is clear that imported exhibits within the duty-free quota for sale during the exhibition period determined by the Ministry of Commerce of the Canton Fair to be held in 2023 will be exempted from import duty, import VAT and consumption tax. The categories, sales quantity or upper limit of the amount of exhibits that each exhibitor enjoys cumulative tax concessions during the exhibition period of this year shall be carried out in accordance with the regulations. The exhibits enjoying tax concessions do not include commodities prohibited by the state, endangered animals and plants and their products, tobacco, alcohol, automobiles and commodities listed in the catalogue of imported Major Technical equipment and products that are not duty-free.
