[Canalys: China's total car exports are expected to reach 4.4 million in 2023] China's car exports have been rising since 2020, according to analyst firm Canalys. In 2022, it overtook Germany to become the world's second largest car exporter, an increase of 55.3% over the same period last year. In the first quarter of 2023, surpassing Japan became the world's largest automobile exporter, in which the growth of NEV (new energy vehicles) exports is the core reason for the growth of overall automobile exports. Canalys estimates that China's total car exports are expected to reach 4.4 million in 2023, of which NEV is expected to account for more than 30 per cent.
