The Ministry of Natural Resources has launched a Ⅳ response for geological disaster prevention. According to the forecast of the meteorological department, from 17 to 20 June, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River entered the heaviest rainfall period, with heavy to torrential rain and local torrential rain in most areas. this heavy rainfall is concentrated and highly superimposed, and the risk of drought and flood turning rapidly is high. The Geological Hazard Technical guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources has studied and determined that Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Chongqing, Guizhou and other provinces (autonomous regions and cities) have a higher risk of geological disasters during this period. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources Geological disaster Prevention and response work Plan (Natural Resources Office letter [2020) No. 1723), the Ministry of Natural Resources decided to launch a geological hazard prevention IV response to the above areas 18:00 on June 17, 2023. Yunnan and Tibet (provinces and autonomous regions) still maintain IV level response.
