FAP, 17 Jun (FAP)-- Wang Shengwen, international trade negotiator and vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce, today (17 June) introduced the progress of China's accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) at the APEC Business leaders China Forum 2023. Wang Shouwen said: at present, China has conducted an in-depth and comprehensive study and evaluation of more than 2300 provisions of the CPTPP, and sorted out the reform measures that need to be adjusted and the laws and regulations that need to be revised after China's accession to the CPTPP. Recently, the Chinese government has also submitted to the CPTPP members an exchange document on China's accession to the agreement. We have taken the initiative to match the high standards of CPTPP, and have taken the initiative to implement the first and first trials of reform and opening up in related fields in China. Wang Shouwen pointed out that China has the will and ability to join the CPTPP and meet the high standards of CPTPP, and China's accession will also bring benefits to all CPTPP members and add new impetus to trade and investment liberalization in the Asia-Pacific region.
