Shenzhen will sign the first grid-connected dispatching agreement for virtual power plants in the southern region

Shenzhen will sign the first grid-connected dispatching agreement for virtual power plants in the southern region. Deng Weiss, director of the Power dispatching and Control Center of Southern Power Grid, said at the 2023 Virtual Power Plant and Power Market Development Forum that the definition of virtual power plants participating in the power grid is not clear in the existing national norms and top-level design. However, as the main body of the market, the virtual power plant has to sign three agreements with the power grid, namely, grid-connected agreement, power purchase and sale contract and grid-connected dispatching agreement. The grid-connected protocol standardizes the access to the power grid, the purchase and sale contract standardizes how to measure and price, and the grid-connected dispatching protocol requires it to be an independent dispatching object. "Southern Power Grid is expected to use Shenzhen as a pilot this year to sign the first grid-connected dispatching agreement in the southern region." (financial Associated Press reporter Xu Haidong)
