The American recording Academy updates the Grammy Awards rules to reject pure AI-generated works.

The recording Academy of America has announced that the Grammy Awards will be updated to reduce the number of nominations for four major categories (album of the year, Song of the year, album of the year and Best New Artist) to eight, which will take effect at the 66th annual Grammy Awards scheduled for early 2024. In addition, the school also talked about the application of artificial intelligence in music, reiterating that "only human creators are eligible to be submitted for consideration, nominated or won Grammy Awards." The college says works without human authors do not qualify for any category. Music that contains some AI material is still eligible, as long as the actual human author is "meaningful" and important.
