[vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu meets World intellectual property Organization (WIPO) Director-General Deng Hongsen]-- Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu met with WIPO Director-General Deng Hongsen on 28 April to exchange views on cooperation between China and the World intellectual property Organization (WIPO) and global intellectual property governance. Ma Zhaoxu said that China attaches importance to the important role of the World intellectual property Organization in maintaining the global innovation ecology and promoting economic globalization. China is willing to take the 50th anniversary of bilateral cooperation as a new starting point, strengthen strategic coordination with the World intellectual property Organization, jointly promote international innovation cooperation, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Deng Hongsen thanked China for its support to the World intellectual property Organization, appreciated China's achievements and contributions in intellectual property protection and development, and global intellectual property governance, and looked forward to deepening practical cooperation with China. The two sides jointly signed the letter of intent between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the people's Republic of China and the World intellectual property Organization on strengthening exchanges and cooperation.
