The number of completed but unsold new private housing units in Hong Kong is the highest since 2007.

Xinhua News Agency, April 29, as the government increased land supply and developers launched more residential units in the market, the new supply of completed but unsold private housing in Hong Kong rose to the highest level since early 2007. The report quoted data from the Housing Bureau as saying that by the end of the first quarter, about 18000 new private housing units had been completed but still unsold, an increase of 13% over the previous quarter. About 65000 new supply units are under construction but not pre-sold.
