Baltic dry bulk Freight Index hit a two-week high

FAP, June 14 (FAP)-the Baltic dry bulk freight index rose slightly on Wednesday, benefiting from higher freight rates for small Panamanian ships and super-flexible ships. The Baltic dry bulk index rose 5 points, or 0.5%, to 1079, a two-week high. The Panamanian Freight Index rose 19:00, or 1.7 percent, to 1163. Average daily profit for Panamanian ships rose by $169to $10466. The capesize freight index stopped its seven-day rise, falling 7 points, or 0.4%, to 1580. Average daily profit for capesize ships fell by $57 to $13106. The index of super-handy bulk carriers rose 7 points to 729. The convenient ship freight index fell 5 points to 476.
