Guangzhou's GDP of 696.392 billion yuan in the first quarter of 2023 increased by 1.8% over the same period last year.

Xinhua News Agency, April 28, according to the results of the unified accounting of the regional GDP of Guangdong Province, the GDP of Guangzhou in the first quarter of 2023 was 696.392 billion yuan, an increase of 1.8 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, the added value of the primary industry was 5.042 billion yuan, up 3.0 percent over the same period last year; the added value of the secondary industry was 165.416 billion yuan, down 4.0 percent from the same period last year; and the added value of the tertiary industry was 525.934 billion yuan, up 3.7 percent over the same period last year.
