Bo Zhiping, director of the Mineral Resources Protection and Supervision Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, said that according to the national mineral resources reserves statistics in 2022, nearly 40% of the 163 minerals that have been identified mineral resources reserves have increased. In terms of oil, gas and mineral resources: the remaining technical recoverable reserves in 2022 increased by varying degrees, of which oil increased by 3.2% over the same period last year; natural gas increased by 3.6%; shale gas increased by 3.0%; and coalbed methane was basically the same as last year.
