The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a symposium on the recycling of power batteries for new energy vehicles. The Department of Energy Saving and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a forum on the recycling of power batteries for new energy vehicles in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province on 23 April. Some provincial industrial and information departments, battery and new energy vehicle production enterprises, key comprehensive utilization enterprises, and research institutions attended the meeting. Participants discussed the management measures for the recycling of power batteries for new energy vehicles, as well as the possible impact of the EU Battery and waste Battery Law on the industry. In the next step, the Department of Energy Saving and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will step up efforts to formulate measures for the management of recycling, refine the responsibility requirements of all parties, increase the promotion of comprehensive utilization of advanced technology, and promote industrial upgrading with technological innovation; publicize and promote typical experiences and practices, cultivate and strengthen backbone enterprises, and improve the level of recycling of power batteries.
