A magnitude 6.5 earthquake occurred in the waters south of the Fiji Islands.

Xinhua News Agency, April 28, China Seismological Network officially determined that 11:13 on 28 April, an earthquake of magnitude 6.5 occurred in the sea south of the Fiji Islands (25.1 degrees south and 178.5 degrees east) with a focal depth of 590km.
