Although the difference in shipments between the first quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023 is still significant, the decline in demand has begun to level off. Thanks to the new product release, Samsung regained its lead, shipping 60.3 million units. Apple ranked second with 58 million shipments. Of the top five manufacturers, only Apple achieved year-on-year growth, with a 21% market share. Xiaomi defended its third place with shipments of 30.5 million units, while OPPO and vivo ranked in the top five with shipments of 26.6 million and 20.9 million, with a market share of 10 per cent and 8 per cent, respectively.
