[Hong Kong Special Administrative region Government sets up Northern Metropolitan area Co-ordinating Office] the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative region Government announced on 12 June the establishment of a Northern Metropolitan area Co-ordinating Office (Northern Metropolitan Office). To co-ordinate, advocate and promote the development of the northern metropolitan area. On the same day, the SAR Government announced that Mr Yau Cheuk-Heng would be the Director of the Office. The Northern Metropolitan Office will formulate and publish a plan of action and specific plans for the northern metropolitan area within this year.
