Since the beginning of this year, personnel exchanges between China and the United States have gradually resumed, and it is possible for people infected with human metapneumovirus to be imported into China. However, considering that the current epidemic situation of human metapneumovirus in the United States has decreased significantly, and China has entered the summer, and the climatic conditions are not suitable for the spread of the epidemic, it can be expected that the impact of the high incidence of human metapneumovirus in the United States on China is limited.
