The law of Russia abolishing the Treaty on conventional Armed Forces in Europe has come into force.

Xinhua News Agency, June 9-the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement that Russia's law on repealing the Treaty on conventional Armed Forces in Europe officially entered into force on the same day. Russia has informed all members of the Treaty on conventional Armed Forces in Europe that it will withdraw from the Treaty in 150 days, that is, at 00 o'clock on November 7, 2023. On May 16, local time, the Russian State Duma unanimously passed the bill to repeal the Treaty on conventional Armed Forces in Europe. On May 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree formally abolishing the Treaty on conventional Armed Forces in Europe.
