The Chief of staff of the Joint staff of the Central military Commission held a video call with the Chief of General staff of the Russian armed forces.

Liu Zhenli, member of the Central military Commission and chief of the Joint staff of the Central military Commission, held a video call with Gerasimov, first vice minister of the Ministry of National Defense and chief of the general staff of the Russian armed forces, to exchange views on implementing the consensus between the heads of state of the two countries and deepening cooperation between the two armed forces. The two sides jointly confirmed that Russia will be invited to participate in the "Northern Joint-2023" exercise organized by the Chinese side.
