The Baltic dry bulk index rose 20:00, or 2%, to 1040. The capesize index jumped 73 points, or 5.3%, to 1460. Average daily profit for capesize ships rose $609 to $12112. The Panamanian freight index rose 7 points, or 0.6%, to 1146. Average daily profit for Panamanian ships rose $60 to $10312. The index of super-handy bulk carriers fell 19:00 or 2.5 per cent to 747, the lowest level since the end of February.
