[China's first independently developed deepwater oil field group exceeds 10 million tons of crude oil production] CNOOC announced today that Liuhua 16-2, China's first independently developed deepwater oil field group located in the Pearl River Estuary Basin, has produced more than 10 million tons of crude oil since it was put into production. The Liuhua 16-2 oilfield group, about 250 kilometers southeast of Shenzhen, has an average water depth of 412 meters, which is the deepest offshore development oilfield group in China. Since the first oil field was put into production in September 2020, the output of the oil field group has been rising continuously, and the current daily output of crude oil has been maintained at more than 11000 tons.
