The Chinese Embassy in Japan talks about the discharge of nuclear contaminated water into the sea: it is indignant that Japan is bent on going its own way.

Xinhua News Agency, June 7, a spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in Japan issued a statement on the issue of the discharge of nuclear contaminated water from Fukushima on June 7. The latest test results show that the radioactive element cesium in the fish caught in the harbor of the Fukushima nuclear power plant exceeds the standard, which is 180 times the Japanese legal standard. At the same time, it is reported that a few days ago, Japan began to inject seawater into the sea tunnel of the nuclear contaminated water at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, which is used to dilute the nuclear contaminated water to be discharged. It is indignant that the Japanese side is bent on going its own way. The discharge of contaminated water from Fukushima is not the only option. There is no global precedent for the discharge of nuclear accident-contaminated water into the sea. It is understood that in addition to marine discharge, formation injection, steam emission, hydrogen emission and underground burial are also feasible options. Japan has not seriously studied and demonstrated other disposal options, and it is irresponsible for Japan to decide to line up with the sea because of cost considerations.
