The leaders of the six African countries believe that the crisis in Ukraine must be resolved through peaceful means as soon as possible. The statement reiterated that participants, including the presidents of the Comoros, Egypt, Senegal, Uganda and Zambia, have reached a consensus. They will work together with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine to reach a ceasefire and lasting peace in the region.
