The "Belt and Road Initiative" cooperation initiative and the global development initiative put forward by China are highly consistent with the concept of "No country left behind" advocated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). We welcome ICAO to actively participate in relevant initiatives and give full play to the strategic leading role of the civil aviation industry to inject confidence and strength in reviving the cause of global development and promoting the implementation of the United Nations 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development. Qin Gang stressed that the Taiwan issue is the core of China's core interests, and China's position on Taiwan's participation in ICAO activities is consistent and clear, that is, it must be handled in accordance with the one-China principle. China appreciates ICAO's adherence to its correct position on Taiwan-related issues and hopes to continue to give China's firm support. Salazar spoke highly of China's important leading role in the development of the world aviation industry, thanked China for its strong support to the work of ICAO, and congratulated Comac C919 on its successful commercial operation. He said that ICAO always adheres to the one-China principle and will continue to properly handle the Taiwan issue in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly and ICAO. We are willing to work with China to promote the continuous deepening of international cooperation in civil aviation.
