[Russia and Ukraine accuse each other of damaging the Kahovka Hydropower Station Dam]-Russia's Tass news agency reported on the 6th that the dam of the Kahofka Hydropower Station in the state had been damaged and some areas were suffering from flooding, citing officials from the Helsong region. Local officials said the top structure of the Cahovka hydropower station was damaged by shelling. Both Russia and Ukraine accused the other of sabotaging the dam. The Ukrainian side said it had begun to evacuate residents in areas with potential flood risks. According to the RIA Novosti news agency, local officials in New Kahovka said it was a preliminary judgment that the Ukrainian military used "Chiyang" rockets to attack the Kahofka Hydropower Station. The Cahovka Hydropower Station, located in the lower reaches of the Dnieper River in the Helsone region, was built in the 1950s to provide water for the Zaporo heat nuclear power plant and the Crimean peninsula.
