Li Qiang meets with German Social Democratic Party delegation

On the afternoon of June 5, Li Qiang, member of the standing Committee of the political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and premier of the State Council, met with a delegation led by Klinbel, co-chairman of the German Social Democratic Party, at the Great Hall of the people. Li Qiang said: as an important part of Sino-German relations, inter-party exchanges are of far-reaching significance for the two sides to strengthen mutual learning and promote prosperity and development. China attaches great importance to relations with Germany and Sino-German cooperation. As the current international situation is chaotic and intertwined, China and Germany, as influential powers, should stick to the original intention of cooperation, maintain strategic determination, strengthen dialogue and cooperation, and inject more stability and certainty into the world. Communist Party of China is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the German Social Democratic Party to push the Sino-German omni-directional strategic partnership to a new level. Li Qiang pointed out that Sino-German economic and trade cooperation has been fruitful over the past few decades, which has not only promoted the complementary advantages and common development of the two countries, but also brought tangible benefits to the people of the two countries. Communist Party of China is willing to work with the German Social Democratic Party to protect economic and trade cooperation, an important foundation of bilateral relations, and to better safeguard the overall situation of cooperation between the two countries and the interests of the people. China welcomes more German enterprises to come to China to share the new opportunities for China's development. We will continue to relax market access, strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights, implement the national treatment of foreign-funded enterprises, and create a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, legalized and internationalized. China is willing to join hands with Germany to maintain the stability of the industrial chain supply chain. It is hoped that the German Social Democratic Party will exert its important influence in German and European politics, maintain the main tone of its China policy of rational pragmatism and dialogue and cooperation, and promote the stable and healthy development of China-Germany and China-EU relations. Klinbel conveyed German Chancellor Schultz's cordial greetings and best wishes to Premier Li Qiang, saying that Germany is actively preparing for the seventh round of German-Chinese government consultations and looks forward to the fruitful results of this consultation. The German Social Democratic Party has established relations with Communist Party of China for nearly 40 years and has been committed to dialogue with China and actively promoting the development of German-Chinese relations. At present, both sides also share common responsibility for the future of German-Chinese relations. Germany appreciates China's continued opening up to the outside world and believes that "decoupling" is not an option for German-Chinese relations. The German Social Democratic Party is willing to strengthen strategic dialogue and communication with Communist Party of China, further expand Germany-China economic and trade cooperation, and make efforts for the sustained and stable development of Germany-China relations and EU-China relations.
