[Vietnamese rice export prices hit a 10-year high] according to a recent report released by Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first five months of this year, rice exports reached nearly 3.9 million tons, with an export value of about 2.02 billion US dollars. Exports and exports increased by 40.8% and 49% respectively over the same period in 2022. This is also the highest increase in the same period of each year since 2013. Since the beginning of the year, the price of rice exported by Vietnam has continued to rise, reaching an average of 517 US dollars per ton. This is considered to be the highest average export price level in nearly a decade.
