According to data released by South Korean market research agency SNE Research, the global market share of South Korean power batteries declined slightly in the first four months of this year. The total number of batteries loaded in newly registered electric vehicles worldwide in the first four months was 182.5 gigawatt hours (GWh), up 49 per cent from a year earlier, according to the data. The number of cars installed by South Korea's three battery manufacturers is increasing, but their combined market share fell 2.9 percentage points to 23.4% from 26.3% last year.
