The selection process was fully launched last year, and it is planned to select 12 to 14 preparatory astronauts. As of March this year, the primary election has been completed, a total of more than 100 candidates entered the re-election stage, of which more than 10 are from Hong Kong and Macao. The fourth batch of preparatory astronauts still includes three categories: space pilots, space flight engineers and payload experts. At present, the selection work is proceeding in an orderly manner as planned, and it is planned to complete the selection work by the end of this year.
