Goldman Sachs banker who let Solomon wear Lululemon to win IPO underwriting rights will retire. Goldman Sachs Group banker Kathy Elsese (Kathy Elsesser) is about to quit her senior position after more than 30 years at the Wall Street firm. Elsether, 56, is understood to be the chairman of the bank's consumer retail and healthcare investment banking group and the driving force behind the bank's modern investment banking saga. She led the team-including David Solomon, the then investment banking director and current chief executive-who wore Lululemon clothes and won the sportswear retailer's 2007 IPO underwriting. Mr. Elsether's retirement from Goldman's partners was disclosed in a memo sent to employees this week. According to the memo, she will become a senior adviser, dealing with some of Goldman's clients and various teams within the bank.
