Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to the scene of the accident on the 3rd. He said the government will try its best to provide treatment for the injured and those responsible for the accident will be severely punished. According to Indian media reports, India's official preliminary investigation report shows that the accident is likely to be caused by a wrong railway signal. The Indian government has appointed a safety commissioner outside the Ministry of Railways to conduct a third-party independent investigation.
