A magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred in the southern Philippines

According to the Philippine Volcano Seismological Research Institute, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the southern Philippines at around 17:32 local time on the 24th. The epicenter was located in the sea area 21 km northwest of North Agusan Province, with a focal depth of 35 km. The earthquake is expected to cause no damage, but will be accompanied by aftershocks.
