The Ministry of Science and Technology has recently promulgated the detailed rules for the implementation of the regulations on the Management of Human genetic Resources, which will enter into force on July 1, 2023. The detailed rules for implementation are to effectively protect and rationally utilize China's human genetic resources, and to safeguard public health, national security and social and public interests, it is formulated in accordance with the relevant laws and administrative regulations such as the Biosafety Law of the people's Republic of China and the regulations of the people's Republic of China on the Administration of Human genetic Resources. The collection, preservation, utilization and external provision of China's human genetic resources shall abide by these detailed rules. It is reported that the information of human genetic resources includes human genes, genome data and other information produced by the materials of human genetic resources.
