Data show that on May 30, the power load of Guangzhou Power Grid exceeded 20 million kilowatts for the first time this year, reaching 21.151 million kilowatts, an increase of more than 20 percent over the same period last year. The relevant person in charge of Guangzhou Power supply Bureau said that the current peak of industrial power consumption and the surge in electricity demand for refrigeration equipment have led to a continuous rise in power grid load. Recently, the power load of Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and the southern five provinces of Hainan has been increasing continuously. Among them, the highest load in Guangdong reached 138 million kilowatts, the power load in Guangxi twice reached a new high of 31.37 million kilowatts, and the load of Hainan power grid has also reached record highs, exceeding 7 million kilowatts for the first time.
