Latvia releases some seized Russian-made fertilizers

[Latvian release of some seized Russian-made chemical fertilizers] April 23, the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on the 22nd that it had begun to release Russian chemical fertilizer products seized by the country. The first batch of Russian fertilizer released has been shipped out of the port of Riga, capital of Latvia, to Kenya, Africa, on the 21st under the arrangement of the United Nations World Food Program. In March last year, Latvia seized about 200000 tons of Russian fertiliser stranded in its territory on the grounds of implementing EU sanctions against Russia. The World Food Program plans to arrange more cargo ships to transport the rest of the fertilizer to other countries in need.
