Bo Wenxi, chief economist of IPG China, said that according to the current power consumption situation, the peak of large-scale power consumption across the country is generally related to the summer drought in the Yangtze River and Yangtze-Huaihe River basins, and the time of arrival of high temperatures across the country is related to regional distribution, which usually comes around July. The relevant listed power generation companies should make equipment maintenance and thermal coal procurement and storage and transportation plans in advance to ensure peak power consumption in summer and create better benefits for themselves at the same time.
