Shanxi extracted 3.48 billion cubic meters of coalbed methane in the first four months to reach a record high.

According to the Shanxi Provincial Bureau of Statistics, since the beginning of this year, Shanxi Province has steadily promoted the increase of coalbed methane reserves and production, pumping 870 million cubic meters of coalbed methane in April, accounting for about 82.1% of the country's coalbed methane output in the same period. Shanxi extracted 3.48 billion cubic meters of coalbed methane from January to April, setting a record high for coalbed methane production in the same period in history.
