[EU-Cuba Joint meeting held both sides emphasize strengthening bilateral political Dialogue and Cooperation] the third EU-Cuba Joint Conference was held in Havana, Cuba, on May 26, local time. Borrelli, EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, and Cabrisas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, chaired the meeting. At the joint meeting, the two sides updated the Agreement on political Dialogue and Cooperation signed in 2016, including the launch of a cooperation plan from 2021 to 2027. The plan will focus on supporting Cuba's national economy and sustainable urban development, focusing on energy, communication technology, creative culture, biotechnology and other industries. Cuba welcomes the visit of the EU delegation and thanks the EU for its opposition to the embargo imposed by the United States against Cuba.
