The two sides exchanged views on the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and China-EU relations. Li Hui expounded China's position on a political solution to the crisis in Ukraine, stressing that the "four should" put forward by President Xi Jinping is the fundamental basis for China's political settlement of the crisis in Ukraine. China has always taken an objective and impartial position on the Ukraine issue and actively persuaded peace to promote talks. There is a lot of consensus between China and the EU on this issue. China supports European countries in strengthening strategic autonomy and making efforts for the long-term stability of the European continent. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the EU. China is willing to make joint efforts with the European side to implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two sides and deal with the uncertainty of the international situation with the stability of China-EU relations. EU officials spoke highly of China's positive role in the peaceful settlement of the conflict and appreciated the relevant principles in the document "China's position on the political settlement of the crisis in Ukraine."
