The US releases offensive strategic weapons data to call on Russia to resume the New Strategic Arms reduction Treaty. The US State Department announced the number of its strategic offensive weapons as of March 1. 1419 nuclear warheads, 662 intercontinental ballistic missiles, submarine-launched ballistic missiles and heavy bombers have been deployed in its arsenal, and 800 delivery systems have been deployed and not deployed. Despite Russia's claim to suspend the New Strategic Arms reduction Treaty, the United States continues its tradition of transparency by voluntarily disclosing the status of strategic offensive weapons, according to the State Department. In addition the United States calls for the resumption of the full implementation of the New Strategic Arms reduction Treaty and all stable transparency and verification measures contained therein.
