Ultra-high temperature in Southeast Asia continues: Bangkok exceeds 40 ℃ and Singapore equals the record of highest temperature 40 years ago

Xinhua News Agency, May 16, some major cities in Southeast Asia have once again experienced the "baking test" of ultra-high temperature heatwave. The temperature in Bangkok reached a record 41 ℃. The temperature in Xiangyang District of Yi'an Province in northern Vietnam reached a record 44.2 ℃ on the 14th, according to Vietnam's National Hydrometeorological Forecast Center. Laos Luang Prabang city also experienced a record high temperature of 43.5 ℃ on the 13th. Temperatures in Singapore reached 37 ℃ on the 14th, equaling the record set 40 years ago, Singapore's National Environment Agency said.
