In April, raw coal production was 380 million tons, an increase of 4.5 percent over the same period last year, 0.2 percent faster than in March, with an average daily output of 12.72 million tons. Imported coal was 40.68 million tons, up 72.7 percent from the same period last year, and the growth rate was 78.0 percentage points lower than that in March. From January to April, 1.53 billion tons of raw coal were produced, an increase of 4.8 per cent over the same period last year. Imports of coal were 140 million tons, an increase of 88.8% over the same period last year.
