In April, natural gas production was 18.9 billion cubic meters, an increase of 7.0 percent over the same period last year, with an average daily output of 630 million cubic meters, 3.0 percent faster than in March. Imports of natural gas were 8.98 million tons, up 11.0 percent from the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.6 percentage points lower than that in March. From January to April, natural gas production was 78.3 billion cubic meters, an increase of 4.8 per cent over the same period last year. Imports of natural gas were 35.69 million tons, down 0.3 percent from the same period last year.
