Spin structure detected for the first time in two-dimensional materials

FAP, May 15-scientists from the Integrated Nanotechnology Center of Sandia National Laboratory in the United States and the University of Innsbruck in Austria published a paper in the latest issue of the journal Nature Physics that they have observed the spin structure in two-dimensional (2D) materials for the first time. This progress lays a foundation for the direct study of the spin properties of electrons in 2D quantum materials, and is expected to give rise to computing and communication products based on these materials.
