World Gold Council: global central banks' gold reserves in March are the same as the previous month

It also means that global central bank gold reserves remained virtually unchanged in March from the previous month. According to the World Gold Council, available data show that global central bank purchases are almost entirely offset by sales, with a net increase of 0.2 tons in global gold reserves. From the perspective of the increase in holdings, the data show that the people's Bank of China bought 18 tons of gold in March, the fifth consecutive month of gold reserves.
