Wang Yi meets with Austrian Foreign Minister Salenberg

Wang Yi said that Sino-Austrian relations have maintained sound development, and China is willing to deepen its friendly strategic partnership with Austria. No matter how the international situation changes, China firmly supports European integration, the unity and growth of the EU, and the EU to play a more important role in international affairs. China is willing to carry out dialogue and cooperation with the European side on the basis of mutual respect and mutual benefit. Salenberg said that Austria is committed to developing good Austria-China relations on the basis of mutual respect and seeking common ground while reserving differences. Austria does not advocate decoupling from China and is willing to actively promote the healthy development of EU-China relations. The two sides also exchanged views on the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, the crisis in Ukraine and other issues of common concern.
