The U.S. Treasury Department raises the size of 6-month and 12-month Treasury bills

FAP, May 12 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- the US Treasury on Thursday raised the size of six-month and 12-month Treasury issuance next week, focusing on longer-term products that are not at risk due to the debt ceiling. The Treasury will issue $51 billion in six-month Treasury bills, up from the $48 billion issued earlier this week. The Treasury also plans to issue $36 billion in 52-cycle Treasury bills, up $2 billion from last time. The size of the three-month Treasury note remained flat at $57 billion.
