[World Health Organization (WHO): 70 percent of health facilities in conflict-affected areas of Sudan have been suspended.] at a regular press conference held by World Health Organization (WHO), World Health Organization (WHO) Director General Tan Desai said that conflicts in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, and other parts of Sudan continued, resulting in loss of life and paralysis of the local economy and society. In addition to shelling and insecurity, local people also face dwindling supplies of water, food, medicine and electricity. According to World Health Organization (WHO), 70% of health facilities in conflict-affected areas have been suspended, and there have been 30 attacks on health systems. In addition, local outbreaks of malaria, dengue fever and measles have left millions of children, pregnant and lactating women severely malnourished.
