Xinhua News Agency, May 11, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index opened up 0.41%. The Hang Seng Technology Index rose 1.5%. Alibaba and Baidu rose 2 per cent; Huahong Semiconductor rose nearly 6 per cent. Ideal car rose more than 11%, reversed losses in the first quarter compared with the same period last year, and American stocks closed up nearly 14% overnight.
